Garden Park Villas is a 40 unit new construction elderly complex built utilizing funding through the NCHFA Tax-Credit Program. The building features both one and two bedroom units, 4 of which are fully ADA compliant. Total building volume is over 40,000 square feet and has an internal common area featuring a centrally located elevator, security system, and protective entry system.
For additional funding, Garden Park also utilized a local CDBG (community development block grant) for the off-site water, sewer extensions, and the road widening which included a turn lane for safer accessibility. Other featured amenities of the building include a library, computer room, gathering room with kitchenette, arts & crafts center, exercise room, and prayer / chapel center. This building is 100% ADA accessible. BroadCraft Construction began building Garden Park Villas late December in 2008 and completed the community August 2009, a month ahead of proposed completion. Project construction cost for the development was $3.4 million.
